Flemish art documentary screening at the International Cape Town Art Fair

Event date: 2/15/2020 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM Export event

From 14-16 February, the Investec Cape Town Art Fair (ICTAF) will showcase the forefront of contemporary art from Africa to the world, and the world to Cape Town. Participants will include five leading art galleries from Flanders.

This year, ICTAF is hosting ART.DOC, a film screening programme at the Labia Theatre, Cape Town’s oldest cinema. Focusing on art documentaries, the programme is open to the public free of charge, on a first-come first-serve basis.

The Labia Theatre 3 will screen the documentary THÉÂTRE SOURCE by Flemish artist Philip Aguirre y Otegui on Saturday 15 February at 19.00. Koen van den Bril directed the documentary in which sculptor and artist Philip Aguirre, together with the inhabitants, transforms a vital water point in Cameroon into a grand architectural sculpture.
