Overview of ongoing Flemish research initiatives in combat against Covid-19 published

In the past few weeks, numerous science and innovation initiatives have been arising in Flanders in response to the Covid-19 crisis - as is the case in many other parts of the world. Many of these are bottom-up, often in the framework of the EU's Horizon 2020 programme. Flemish research groups, life science companies, universities, experts and industry all play a part in the guidance, the decision-making and in providing solutions to help address this global health challenge.

The Flanders Department of Economy, Science and Innovation has published an overview of the ongoing research initiatives in epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment and social impact. A link to this publication, which is in English, can be found via the following link:

The English version of this publication can be consulted via this link: https://www.ewi-vlaanderen.be/nieuws/covid-19-een-overzicht-van-onderzoek-en-innovatie-vlaanderen?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Nieuwsbrief%20EWI%20%2027%20oktober%202020&utm_content=Nieuwsbrief%20EWI%20%2027%20oktober%202020+CID_bd8b1f1cbb99ed052e5c67fe2132cdf3&utm_source=Email%20marketing%20software&utm_term=COVID-19%20een%20overzicht%20van%20onderzoek%20en%20innovatie%20in%20Vlaanderen

Let's hope this useful overview can lead to more much-needed international collaboration in the combat against Covid-19.
